Terms of service

These terms cover your use of fauxplate.com and anything you buy from us. Fauxplate is operated by HashSecure Technologies LLC, 38660 Lexington Street, Apt 622, Fremont, CA 94536. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
1. The store. Our store runs on Shopify. You need to be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to place an order.
2. Products. Our cases are printed flat. The knobs, dials, chrome and wood are part of the artwork, not real 3D parts. Colours on your screen may look a little different from the printed case. Choose your iPhone model carefully, since each case is made for one model.
3. Prices and payment. Prices are in US dollars and can change at any time, but a change won't affect an order you've already placed. Sale prices last only for the dates shown. If a product is listed at a wrong price because of a mistake, we can cancel the order and refund you in full. Sales tax is added at checkout where required.
4. Orders. Placing an order is an offer to buy. We can refuse or cancel an order (for example a suspected fraud or a pricing mistake), and we'll refund you in full if we do.
4a. Personalized cases. If you add your own name or text, you're responsible for it: it must be yours to use, and it can't include someone else's trademark, copyrighted material, or anything offensive, hateful or unlawful. We check every personalized order before it prints, and we can refuse or cancel one we think breaks this rule, with a full refund. We print the text exactly as you enter it.
5. Shipping, returns and refunds. These are covered in our Shipping Policy and Refund Policy, which are part of these terms.
6. Our designs. All Fauxplate designs, images, text and the Fauxplate name belong to us or our licensors. You can't copy, resell or reproduce them without our written permission. Buying a case gives you the case, not the rights to the design.
7. Using the site. Don't misuse the site: no hacking, scraping, or anything illegal or that harms the store or other customers.
8. Warranty. Cases come with our misprint and damage promise in the Refund Policy. Apart from that, and as far as the law allows, the site and products are provided "as is". A phone case reduces the risk of damage but can't prevent it, and we're not responsible for damage to your phone.
9. Limit of liability. As far as the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a product or the site is limited to what you paid for that order, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Some states don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
10. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable US federal law. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in California, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
11. Changes. We may update these terms. The version on the site when you order is the one that applies to that order.
